As per the Indian ethos, democracy comprises the values of freedom, acceptability, equality, and inclusivity in a society. Democracy refers not just to a structure but also the spirit of equality.
Humbled to be invited to India’s new Parliement on the historic day
Nari Shakti Vandan Act" passed with a majority in the Rajya Sabha. This will increase the active participation of women in every sector of the country and to empower their strength and potential.
Parliament Special Session - women have been standing together across the political divide supporting this for the longest time. The bill, called the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam',proposes 33% reservation for women in Sabha & state legislative assemblies. However, the legislation will come into effect after the next delimitation exercise, which might be conducted after the first census to be taken after 2026. The Women Reservation Bill is a significant step towards empowering women in India. It aims to ensure gender equality & promote women's representation in decision-making bodies. After 26 yrs Women’s Reservation bill will finally become a reality. Let's support this crucial legislation & work together towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
