This is the love of my #Kashmir women which inspires me to do more & more for them. Due to heavy rains we were expecting 100-150 women but despite that over 350 women participated in @rnartfoundation #MenstrualHygiene drive today in #Sopore #Baramulla 👍

Empowerment is a process that originates from within an individual’s soul. Having worked on the ground for more than a decade, I can confidently say that women in Kashmir possess the ability to accomplish anything they set their minds to. They are taking proactive steps to empower themselves & their families by developing their skills & obtaining education. This is, without a doubt, a testament to their patience, perseverance & unwavering determination to bring about positive change. The journey towards women’s economic empowerment in Kashmir is progressing, although it may take some time to achieve, it is inevitable. It was a pleasure to speak on the panel with so many inspirational people at the Northeast Startup & Entrepreneurs Conclave, as we shared our perspectives & unique experiences on impact startups & social entrepreneurship.

North East today has seen a surge of younger individuals taking advantage of entrepreneurial opportunities. I see NE as a reservoir of resources that has been brimming with talented individuals. Youth today is leveraging the digital wave that India is experiencing thanks to our visionary PM @narendramodi ji. To encourage innovation & entrepreneurship across the country, organizations like Niti Aayog & Atal Innovation Mission were established, resulting in a plethora of start-ups emerging on the horizon. The growth & rise of impact start-ups are a testament to the power of human creativity & the determination to make the world a better place.

Shiv & Shakti - Ardhanarishvara, it represents the divine union of the god Shiva and his consort Shakti, specifically in their half-male, half-female form. The word “Ardhanari” is derived from the Sanskrit words “ardha,” meaning half, and “nari,” meaning woman.

In the Ardhanari form, the right half of the body represents Shiva and the left half represents Shakti. This powerful representation emphasizes the concept of inseparability & equality of the male and female energies in the universe. It symbolizes the idea that the masculine & feminine energies are interdependent & together form a harmonious whole.

The concept of Ardhanari embodies the idea of balance,unity & the complementary nature of male & female energies. It serves as a potent symbol of equality & the integration of the dualities present in the cosmos.

"Empowering Period Awareness: Launching 'P से Periods' with PDKF and Project Baala"

Taking the spirit of collaboration forward, PDKF and Project Baala launched a unique project - ‘P से Periods’ today at Badal Mahal, the headquarters of the foundation in Jaipur.

The launch event saw many social workers, educational organisation representatives and changemakers assemble for a panel discussion on the topic ‘Amplifying Access - Champions at the Grassroots where Princess Gauravi Kumari and Ms. Soumya Dabriwal (Founder, Project Baala) were joined by Ms. Rouble Nagi, an acclaimed artist, author, activist and social worker who also joined this collaborative effort as a panelist today. Rouble is the founder of the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation and graced the launch event of ‘P for Periods’ to motivate the Menstrual Champions with her insightful inputs and experiences.

Nari Shakti Vandan Act" passed with a majority in the Rajya Sabha. This will increase the active participation of women in every sector of the country and to empower their strength and potential.

Parliament Special Session - women have been standing together across the political divide supporting this for the longest time. The bill,called the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam',proposes 33% reservation for women in Sabha & state legislative assemblies. However, the legislation will come into effect after the next delimitation exercise,which might be conducted after the first census to be taken after 2026. The Women Reservation Bill is a significant step towards empowering women in India. It aims to ensure gender equality & promote women's representation in decision-making bodies. After 26 yrs Women’s Reservation bill will finally become a reality. Let's support this crucial legislation & work together towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
